This billiard table is called "The Crown Jewel" and is made by Porter and Sons. The table was only used a few times and is in mint condition. As shown in the enclosed picture, the table is covered in a gold felt cloth. This table retails for about $38,000.00. The table has Honduran Mohogany with a piano finish, leather net drop pockets, hand tied-bullion braid and silk tassels. History of table design: Legends say King John lost the Crown Jewels of Britain on his way home from a conflict with rebels in the salt marshes near Lincolnshire known as The Wash. The finest artists in the kingdom were summoned to recreate the jewels with even more precious material and greater detail. This Crown Jewel, ornately carved in the style of High Renaissance artist, Andre Boulle, was originally introduced by world-renowned cabinetmaker, Charles A. Porter, in 1966, as the Royal Georgian.
