OVERPRESSURE CONTROLLERS

 

Operation:

This device sends a signal if overpressurization occurs. Excess pressure can develop in silos that are filled using pneumatic pressure systems.

The principle behind these devices is very simple.They use a stainless steel membrane, large enough to keep dust and dirt from obstructing it, which is sensitive to air pressure. The membrane transmits the pressure to a rod that activates a microswitch, which in turn operates the alarm systems or mechanisms that keep product from entering the silo.

The operating pressure can be set as low as 250 mm wc (0.025 bar).The factory preset is 400 mm wc (0.04 bar).Other pressures are available.

The ICS 2150 is normally installed by screwing it into the side wall of the silo at the height at which the product is to be detected, with the probe positioned horizontally.

ICC 2160 This is normally installed by screwing it into the wall of the silo at the height at which the product is to be detected, with the probe positioned horizontally.If the product to be managed is a powder, we recommend angling the probe 20 to 30° toward the silo’s discharge outlet to help break up the material.In choosing where to install the device, it is important to consider the angle of the feeder slope and the discharge cone, so the controllers have time to send a signal to activate the delivery or signaling mechanisms.

Installation

 

ICC V 2161 This is normally installed by screwing it into the ceiling of the silo, attempting to keep the probe situated at least 30 cm from the side walls.
If the silo will be filled via a pneumatic pressure system, we recommend a greater distance between the probe and the silo walls to avoid erroneous signals caused by pendular movements that air currents can cause.
THE INCOMING PRODUCT STREAM SHOULD NOT BE AIMED AT THE PROBE.

Connection 

The probe should be connected to the control unit via two conductors with a minimum size of 1.5 square millimeters.The ICS 2150 probe includes a DIN 43650 connector, while the ICS 2150-1 probe has two cable terminals up to 2.5 millimeters.
