ACID THICKENER

Acid Thickener is a cationic surfactant that was originally designed to thicken hydrochloric acid, which it does
very effectively on its own; however, when used in combination with sodium chloride (salt), it will thicken a
variety of acid systems including phosphoric, sulfuric, hydrofluoric, citric, oxalic, etc. By varying the ratio
between Acid Thickener and salt, you can adjust the viscosity to a given specification. Acid Thickener is a multifunctional material that provides thickening, wetting, corrosion inhibition, and perfume solubilization.

 Ability to thicken both inorganic and organic acids
 Can replace nonionics used for wetting and perfume solubilization
 90% corrosion inhibition in HCl acid
 Easy to solubilize

Acid Thickener Level                     Viscosity (23°C)

           2.0%                                            2000 cps.
           3.0%                                            5000 cps.

NOTES: Acid Thickener must be uniform before use. Heat and/or mix as necessary.
Acid Thickener use level should be increased as acid concentration increases.
